Are u saying to be long and short same position?
On the surface it looks like a break even proposition,unless yr short position is only temporary,and your long term outlook of the stock is "long".
pls elaborate.

Thank you and everyone for responding. I think it would be fun to short a stock or maybe it just seems that you shorts have fun! But I agree that I would only want to it some of the time because of the risk versus going long. Good luck this new year whichever way you go!
