Great question, I wouldn't worry about slippage since the next front month is probably at a different price due to storage fees and the like either higher or lower, but I wouldn't hold any futures contract to this point, close it out today and if you still want to hold a position, then just enter a new trade with the next front month... don't worry about slippage, there really isn't any since they're two different month contracts so the price may be different even without slippage... slippage doesn't really apply in this kind of roll over, slippage is not something I would concern myself with...
