If Trump loses, his voters will not realize that they were mistaken to believe in him and support him in defiance of their party’s intellectual class. They will blame the NeverTrumpsters for the election results and boot them out of the party altogether. The elites of the party think the rank and file of the GOP - who revolted against them - will not blame them for Trump's defeat when they side with Hillary Clinton against Trump. They think we'll get a good whipping at the post and go back to listening to our betters. What conceit and hubris.

The ideas they espouse are antiquated and stale, and they have been for quite a few presidential cycles. I mean really.............take a look at the last 5 republican presidential candidates. I don't know about anyone else, but I've had a hard time stomaching the Republican Party for quite awhile now. We'll see in November how many Americans see it the same way, and whether the country we know and love has survived the coup that began with Barack Obama?
