I think/hope the Democrats learned a big lesson getting burned for their bipartisanship when it comes for drumbeats of partisan-inspired wars. The bind is being called "unpatriotic" and weak by the RW vs. doing the right thing and asking the real questions. Obama took a lot of criticism for not attacking Iran or supporting Assad/Russia with troops on-the-ground. But I think history showed that it would have given ISIS what they hoped for - a recruitment for mutually genocidal WWIII fought outside the military industrial complex "rule book."
