John (et al)...you are ABSOLUTELY right on with your Y2K remediation upswing focus and value. Therefore, (1) CPQ will benefit greatly since it's also a hardware need, as well as a software labor intensive one. CPQ's BTO, priicing, aggressiveness and enterprise-wide product offerings are perfect fits here, and (2) Take a look at INTERSOLV (ISLI) with their EXTREMELY successful Y2K remediation solution offering (software and consulting services). An additional focus to ISLI's Y2K solution is testing and their focus on continuing a software/service relationship beyond any Y2K effort. At a recent conference ISLI management stated that the majority of Y2K contracts will come in between mid98 and mid 2000, they have already signed a # of MAJOR ones with mooore to come. As well, if you visit their website check out their ASQ offering which is also getting major contracts. In the last 9 months this company has made an 180 degree adjustment and is moving at 180mph forward. JMHO. To all, now that the players with CPQ have done their fooling around, I believe we're ready to takeoff to old and new heights.
