I thoroughly enjoyed the ending. Spoiler alert: It was nice to see Naz get off but now he has another set of problems...drugs and damaged relationships. As I heard it said the ending was "melancholy" and I think that's a good description.

I thought Turturro's closing argument was riveting. I liked how they turned the detective into a good guy - he could have easily walked away with his suspicions, and kudos to the producers for subtly showing his doubts throughout the show while he "did his job."

The cat walking through the scene at the end was a great touch - it ended all the darkness and suffering of the series with a little smile.

I was just kidding about the cat being the killer. It would have taken a lion to do that to her. And I don't believe the detective is Saul's bro. They look similar but they're different actors.

I understood Gandolfini was the major thrust behind the making of the show which was taking years to put together and unfortunately he passed away before it got off the ground. It was a remake of a successful British drama. Turturro was his good friend and he says he feels weird playing the role meant for his pal.

Anyway, I enjoyed that series about as much as any of my other favorites series - It was short but I'd rank it right up there with Fargo, Madmen, The Sopranos, and Breaking Bad.
