All this talk about stocks is depressing me. Did you know that 666 X 3 = 1998 The religionists will have a field day with this one. It surely must have some great significance in the great spiritual scheme of things to come.

All I can think about about is 365 more days of self-discovery. Hurrah for 1998 <<grin>>

I guess my contribution to this never ending debate is this: religion is not the enemy, the enemies are intolerance, violence, greed and selfishness. People who see benefit to them from any of these behaviors will twist religion to suit.

I agree with what you say here. But if I was a devout secularist, I'd characterize religion per se as the cause of intolerance and all sorts of evil.
