**OFF TOPIC**

brad,
Who gave you that li'l tip on IOWA? I could've told you not to take'em. Michigan will be the ONLY Big Ten team to win this year in the post-season. Sad, but true.

GO ILLINI! Basketball, that is. Illinois dropped football this year as a varsity sport :~( lol

--OFF TOPIC TAX QUESTION--- Hey gang under the new tax law stocks held 18 months or more are taxed at 20 and 10 percent. Lets say a person bought a stock at several different times. Do all the purchases have to be held 18 months or can they all average 18 months. Thanks. Happy New Year. Marvin

Brad,

Happy New Year to all. New news for the year not out yet ;-). Came accross this about palms, IDX, and Oracle. I think someone on the thread discussed palm scanners before, but don't recall what was said. RECOGNITION SYSTEMS PALM READER is the only palm reader that I've come across on the net so far. No picture or mention of a Palm Reader in IDX literature as far as I recall. Do you or anyone else have any insight about palm readers for IDX. Then again, the statement below might have been incorrect.

From Kiplinger, updated 19 Feb 97

"For the time being, though, Oracle's system is an off-shoot of technology that's already used in some government offices and military bases. It consists of a hand-sized box you plug into your computer's peripheral slots in back. Simply stick your palm in the box and let it verify who you are. Then, away you go."

p.s. Came accross an Identix, Ltd. A distributor of some kind in Greece. Don't know if affiliated with IDX. No links...
