Bill:

I have to agree with you 100% that Barrick will do as little drilling
as possible to determine whether there is a mine there or not. Proving
up more resources will only make the other 30% more expensive for them.
I would think by this Spring or Summer, they should have done enough
drilling to make they're decisions. It seems as if some are predicting
a potential buy out around this time, and they may very well be right.
I'm not sure if this is just a rumour, or if there is some substance to
it. Anyone heard anything from reliable sources? Or is this just an
assumption? I did not follow the AQP story at all, but I heard that at
one time Barrick wanted to do a joint venture with AQP, but CMS insisted
on a buyout. Does anyone know if this was true or not? If it is true,
maybe Barrick would be content with they're 70%. Who knows at this point,
but I am sure we will know an awful lot more by the Spring. Considering
what we know now Bill, do you have an idea what the market cap would be
for PFG presently? I'm hoping that we will see some share price appreciation
in the next few weeks, considering all the tax loss selling is over with,
along with any month end selling. Heres to an excellent 1998 for all of
us.

Good Luck
Don
