I'm currently looking at Cisco as a long term hold. Can anyone tell me how Cisco will do in the next twelve months in relation to the Asian Crisis that's upon us. I guess my real question here is, How much is Cisco exposed against the Yen?

>>>Style: From what your saying CSCO products are the cheapest.<<<

No, actually I was saying that because of economies of scale, CSCO can manufacture its products more efficiently than smaller rivals. That doesn't mean that CSCO has to sell them for any cheaper than anyone else -- they just pocket the difference which is reflected in higher gross margins.

>>>What you say about RAS port sound like predatory pricing, does the DOJ have any investigations into CSCO pricing?<<<

I wouldn't call it "predatory pricing". After all, it's not like CSCO is dumping its goods to secure market share. But it enjoys greater flexibility in pricing due to higher gross margins than industry average, lots of cash, and broader focus across many niches in the sector for leverage.
