Home Sweet Home: My Win10 Desktop ...

... with Classic Shell (Start Menu with Control Panel expanded below) and the Quick Launch toolbar (shown expanded below) that dates back to Win95 and which is hidden but is still available in Win8 and Win10 and is my primary application launcher:

My Win7 and Win8.1 desktops sitting to my right on an L-shaped workstation are configured and laid out almost identically although they use different wallpaper. With the exception of 2 items I do not pin items to the taskbar but do pin some to the Classic Shell Start menu which is considerably more highly configurable than the Win10 Hybrid Start Menu.

Eric L,

I had forgotten how nice and easy the classic shell is. I think I am going to go back to the easy to understand classic, why Microsoft has changed is difficult for me to understand. Keep it Simple Stupid (KISS) is worth a look again.

Thank you for your post.
