Marvin,
News on OISI:http://biz.yahoo.com/finance/980101/ophthalmic_imaging_o_1.html
PLSIA already has 28% of stock and management and directors of OISI had about 25%. This effectively locks out others if PLSIA and OISI management get along. I expect something to happen in 1998 but this will not have a big effect on PLSIA's earnings for a while. Right now OISI has losses so PLSIA doesn't need that on its balance sheets but as an investment PLSIA has a small profit for the books. I think they met and talked about things at the Ophthalmic conference in San Francisco. I expect they have some plans.
