yes, I remember 2004 as well, we dodged a bullet here in NOLA... had everything packed and ready to go when Ivan was bearing down. I waited until the last minute, watching it track, and just like the forecasters said, it slid just to the east of us and hit Gulf Shores AL. Many people in NOLA didn't wait until the last minute and left early and got stuck in massive traffic jams... the weather people have really got it down to a science when these storms get close about where they will hit... They nailed the track of Hermine
