"I have been looking for creaf's new voodoo2 card and can't find it
anywhere. I still can't believe that they own the rights
to the voodoo2 chip set, is it really true?"

Be aware that this isn't true. There are approximately 6 or more companies selling Voodoo 1 cards, and there will be at least that many selling Voodoo 2 cards including Diamond, Jazz, California Graphics, and others. From what I can make out, Creative may have gotten the rights to use a special Voodoo logo. Creative's advantage is having the greatest distribution of any of the companies. Well, possibly only equal to Diamond for graphics boards. The disadvantage is they are going to sell a 6MB version, I've not seen any report on larger RAM configurations. Most serious users would want the 8MB or greater versions.

The Voodoo 2 based cards are expected 1st qtr of 98, but I'd really expect that to be late 1st qtr to 2nd qtr.
