Rmoney didn't refuse; he just refused to produce more than one year of taxes. He prolly paid more taxes in that one year than Trump has paid in his lifetime.

Of course. There is no value in doing so.

It is a huge cache of information that your opposition will use against you, regardless of the facts.

The public doesn't have the gumption to understand why a rich person might pay a lower overall tax rate than someone in the middle class. They don't understand the idea of tax-free investments, why they exist, and why wealthy people must have access to them. Or why a wealthy person might have a loss deduction of some kind. They just don't get it.

Now, Trump may well release his at some point; but I wouldn't.

But I think the artificial requirement to release tax returns is stupid.
