In some communities Muslims love their hookas, which are becoming increasingly popular with young people. Tobacco has clearly been designated as a prohibited substance after the known harms were revealed. Marijuana harm is less well known and the medicinal uses are often argued. So, it is less clear. Using substances known to cause self harm is prohibited... so things like shroom or peyote trips are argued, usually by people who don't know what they are talking about. LSD could be argued but I don't know how it would turn out.
