Re:opmrf NCR would be a potential threat but they are 2 years behind. There is a 2 year lag between a chain first showing interest to testing to placing a large order as per Kroger.
Re: Kasten Chase: I am heavily invested in kasten and so I may have a strong bias. Kasten looks very promising with their products and potential growth but they have been quite dissapointing in the past year. None of the analyst projections came through and their contracts have been small. If they are awarded the ny transit contract (end 1998) this stock will fly to at least $4. With some stability in Dow Jones markets and a little development in China or with Nortel, the stock will really heat up. At the worst case scenario, the stock is worth at least $2. (a double) given its strong cash position(13million) 30million revenue in past 12 months and very positive cash flow. Earnings were weak last year, but at least they are not losing money. Management owns 30-40% shares and seems strong.
