Your condemnation of détente is startling. Nobody has pledged anything to Russia, but it seems Obama allowing the reunification of the USSR by force. There is nothing wrong with having a dialogue with the Soviet Union that goes beyond slips on live mics as Obama did.

Trump tapped for his campaign manager an individual who illegally acted as a lobbyist for the Russian government. Millions of dollars went from Moscow to Paul Manafort's personal bank account.

One has to wonder what sort of Russian and other foreign investors and conflicting foreign national interests Trump's taxes would flush out into the light of day. Mitt Romney is certain that Trump lied he would release his returns, and now lies that he cannot (with the patently false claim a routine audit prevents this), because there are numerous smoking guns to be found within.

Meanwhile, Trump is buying off prosecution in Florida for defrauding people who attended his plagiarized hotel seminars - the so called "Trump University". Trump is set to testify as trial begins in another (of multiple jurisdictions where he is being sued) in November - because apparently not every AG is as blithely corrupt as Florida AG Pat Bondi. Bondi solicited Trump for campaign contributions while this matter lay on her desk. And to Trump, who has pocketed Millions from the so called "Trump University", the payola was quite small.

Trump's history of flouting laws and limits on buying off of politicians is quite extensive now.

They'll do anything he asks... is that not a direct quote?

I actually saw one Trump's spokesman on TV yesterday claiming that being the corruptor is a much less serious sin than being the politician who accepts the bribes. Wow. That's really some defense... deflect Trump's evil, corrupt acts by claiming he's not an evil politician, which is somehow worse.
