A 220Mhz GXm is slower than a (L2 cacheless?) 200MMX? 166MMX?
I don't know...and for sure the average buyer doesn't know. All he knows is that 220 is a larger number of Megahurtzies...how do you think Intel sells 'dem 266 and 300 Pentium II's?
That's what I mean't by "compete"...as in compete on a shelf in the store...in the mind of a buyer. A 200MMX Pentium system might have a chance against a 220 MediaGXm system but a 166MMX? Nah...too many of 'dem megahurtzies 'tween the two models.
