JIm, my 12 month warning indicated that odcl would go up then crash.
it didn't say orcl was tanking that week.
it was an outline of a trend and MIS directors were too behind to upgrade to later releases of orcl. plus another reason.
So, what's this other reason that Kodak, Pepsi, and alike are deploying that will hurt orcl.????????

YOu didn't answer the question I put to you on MIS is spending more but there is a huge reason why they can spend and have money to spend.

From where I sit I can see plenty good.
I create vendor systems for dell, cpq, toshiba, hactachi, seimens
and you name it. and I'm in the technology business.

the stk set back is very selective...but it was selective last yr. too.
those that bet against dell and cpq in march of 1997 and then in the pull backs of 1996 lost out big time. go check.
these threads were full of cpq and dell going under then too.
go back and read these threds..I dare you....
BUT, LOOK WHAT HAPPENED.
I even sold the 100 call contracts I purchased on cpq in July too early. It was my worst mistake of the yr. to sell those 10000 shares early.you can read the posts on that too. try the 100 contracts
(10000 shares) times the 100 point cpq move. but, the post reveal I didn't hold them that long.
