Meathead said " Can the stock go down? Is that what you're asking?
sure. It can easily trade between 50 - 100 for the
next few quarters... especially is things are deteriorating
for Dell as you say they are. Keep in mind though that even
if industry fundamentals falter, Dell is in a position to
continue to grow and prosper... stockprice not withstanding "

What is amazing is how things come to a point. I know dell will be around for a long time. I do not expect them to go broke or out of business. All I care about is what the stock does. That is all anyone on this forum should care about.

I have been trying to convince these two guys that even though I don't know anywhere near as much about the industry as they do. I can see the World, and there are no rose colored glasses here.
There are some serious things on the horizon that DELL and many other companies will have to deal with, and they may not be pleasant. Is DELL a potential EFII, Probably not. Is it an ORCL, maybe. could dell continue as history would dictate ?
I contend that now is not like the history of the last 18 months.

I have learned a few things from Steve and Meathead, I hope I have made them think about their positions. Not change their minds, just think a little. The future is uncertain, I don't think that it has ever been expecialy clear.

AP crisis,
Decline in growth of world economies of .5 to 1% forcasted
Competition,
Slowing growth of some software,
Contraction in Semi Cap Expenditures,
DRAM pricing,
INTC's changing stratagies
Valuations
EPS growth
These are all things to be concernd about.
DELL's market share gains and unit growth, This is some thing to be concernd about for the bears.

I guess as usuall, we will have to let the market tell us who is right.

Happy New Year to all
and Go FSU.
