Ron,

Several sponsors have already closed positions as of yesterday's close. I think we should wait until tomorrow or Monday at the latest to sell stocks that I recommended we sell to give sponsors time to read my post and see if they agree. Tomorrow, I will sell the stocks that I'm sponsoring that I think we should sell (per my previous post). I would mark to market any stocks that aren't closed as of yesterday's close to figure our 1997 return.

I don't see any reason to start clean in 1998. I recommend that we just start with our existing positions. I calculated a value of $503,793.75 so why don't we just start with that much cash (or whatever it is) instead of starting clean. That's pretty close to $500,000 anyway.

It looks like the majority want to keep a cash account so I'll go along with that. How about if we start with $503,793.75 in cash unless somebody can think of a better way to do it? I can't think of another way unless we sell everthing and buy back what we want. That seems more complicated to me.

Ron,

Please close out my stocks in the Zportfolio as of 12/31/97, so we can start with a clean slate.

Hopefully we all learned something from this past year's exercise, I know I did.
