Unlike Cymer, FSII sees softening of orders. >>>Dec. 22, 1997, FSI International Inc. (Nasdaq:FSII - news) said it is ''unlikely'' that fiscal 1998 sales will exceed $300,000,000. For fiscal 1997, FSII reported net sales of $252,441,000. The company commented that the recent economic and monetary turbulence in Asia has created ''uncertainty'' in the microelectronics industry and that its customers around the world are ''more cautious'' given the situation in Asia. FSII said it is seeing a softening in orders, particularly from Korean semiconductor manufacturers and U.S. thin film head manufacturers. FSII noted that in the last three fiscal years, sales into the Asian market, including Japan, were about 15% to 20% of total annual sales. biz.yahoo.com
