"We need to make the haystack as small as possible by getting rid of as many of the Muslims here as we can."

Concur - But that process has yet to begin. In fact the opposite is true. We are still importing them while refusing to deport even many of those we identify as major criminals. Our own actions are making the problem worse.

I believe Trump is the only candidate for Pres who comprehends the need and has the vision to implement it.

"Then we warn the Muslims left that if they don't turn potential Jihadists and we spot them, bad things will happen to them."

Warnings have no impact on fanatical religious zealots who harbor a strong desire to kill...never have.

The only similar group I can recall that voluntarily left were the Rajneesh fanatics in Oregon known for poisoning salad bars.
They left on their own decision.

Instead of warnings we are going to have to demonstrate clearly, and as often as possible, that we will use all means and force necessary to protect and defend ourselves...and rid them from our midst.

That process has not begun. We are still in reactionary mode, and have no real stomach to make "BAD THINGS HAPPEN". We keep on leaving battlefields with no decisive conclusions.

We have wasted trillions of dollars and thousands of our soldiers' and security officers' lives on defensive strategies that failed us. When we have gone on offense, we quit the battle before accomplishing our goals.

There is only one potential solution left. We need a new and stronger leadership team.

If we keep doing what we are doing, we will keep getting what we are getting. In this case what we are getting are more and more radicalized attackers with a strong desire and the ability to suddenly kill innocent Americans without warning.

After 15 years of war, our military is getting tired and weaker by the day. Political decisions have ensured that.

We may only have one more good opportunity to prevail.

We are fighting a Guerilla war. We know how to do that.

We are confused and lost after 15 years of continuous warfare. The attacks on our homeland are increasing not decreasing. A clear indication of a failed strategy.

1. We have only one unit in our armed forces that is fully trained and equipped for Guerrilla Warfare...
"USA Army Special Forces, aka SF, aka Green Berets"...
Free them to work independently - similar to the OSS

2. Accept that nearly every decentralized organization was launched from a pre-existing platform.

Anti-Starfish Strategy -

1. Change the ideology

2. Centralize them - use property rights, armed conflict, etc..

3. Decentralize yourself - the best opponent for a starfish org is another starfish.

Understand the Hybrid - A centralized company that decentralizes the customer experience
A different Hybrid - A centralized company that decentralizes internal parts of the business.

New Rules -

1. Dis-economies of scale - smaller may be better

2. Utilize the network effect

3. Utilize the power of chaos - creativity

4. Know the edge. Get to the real experts -

5. Understand everyone on the team wants to contribute.

6. Beware the Hydra - don't attack a Starfish by cutting off the head it just multiplies.
Yet, today that is still our primary strategy.

7. Catalysts rule - they inspire people to action - They connect people

8. The VALUES are the organization - ideology

9. Measure, monitor, and manage

10. Flatten or be flattened - embrace the chaos

Open systems can't rely solely on a police force. On the one hand there is freedom to do what you want, but on the other hand you have added responsibility. Everyone becomes a guardian of sorts.

When you give people freedom you get chaos, but you also get incredible creativity.
