Jim - Dell does not see a need to be in this market right now.
Does not mean they won't be in it... component pricing alone
will get them there soon. Dell maintains they are targeting
users who want or need a moderate to high level of computing
power with richer configurations. This is still by far the
majority of the market.

If it becomes clear that they need to duke it out at the low
end to survive, then you can be sure they'll go after the
minimal configuration market with a vengance. To date,
there is no evidence they need to change their strategy...
only conjecture and wild speculation... you don't make
business decisions based on media hype.

It's really pretty simple.
