Ampco-Pittsburgh Corp. (AP) - peeled off 50% of position

Stock getting close to it's $16.00/share BV and after waiting over a year on this lot (bought at $10.50/share 12/2015) future earnings prospects still look dismal even after an accretive acquisition in 2016.

Therefore, decided to book my 48% gain (including small dividend) on 50% of my shares and will hold the other 50% for $18.00/share or higher and/or next earnings really show that EPS are growing and sustainable.

Still a good value Buy? This was one I followed Gabelli's Buys and believe he still is the largest common share owner. His average cost was pretty high and he may have added shares in 2016 as my last lot I bought at $9.50/share (9/2016). I will continue to hold these shares and may/could have the chance to add. The stock is thinly traded and will move if they disappoint. It could also move much higher if EPS is a blow out higher and we may/could see this trade back to the 3 years ago price at/above $21.00/share level.
