My worst update problem was with Win-8.0Pro64. I bought the license as a pathway to W10.

The trouble was getting current on the 8.0 updates before I qualified for the free 8.1 upgrade, which was my ticket to Windows 10.

In that case, an update would almost complete and fail, then windows would start restoring the computer to before the update started.

I finally got to 8.1 and then W10, but have never understood why Microsoft didn't allow a direct upgrade from 8.0 to Windows 10.

It was a very frustrating experience...
