I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. That
he was deliberately portraying Cymer as low tech to drive
the price down, even though he knows they're not low tech,
because he was shorting the stock. Or does he believe that
they are low tech and are easily replaced?
Sure, it's possible that they can be replaced -- but not easily.
(I realize that eventually they will be replaced).

BTW I didn't see the guy on TV, just read about him on the
thread.

deliberately used the "L" word (light bulb) even knowing that CYMI doesn't make such a product. I believe it was a calculated attempt to paint CYMI as a low-tech company

In Weakness there is Strength....What if Cymer embraced it, owned it, accepted it , touted it, sent out photo's with Mr. F. with a "Cymer Lightbulb" shoved up his Ass. ..... Would send out a nice Message and Visual.
