Re -- I don't know what operating system you are using, but I doubt that your second CPU is doing anthing other than generate some heat.

If you don't know ask, or shut up. NT shares tasks between different CPU's in a typical tightly coupled MP system.

[Off-topic dual-CPU upgrade] Jozef, my OS is NT Server, and it will make use of the second CPU. I use one program (Real-Tick III) which tends to hog the CPU, happens to run in a single thread, and makes it very difficult to do anything else when it is very busy.
