Michael, this isn't the place to discuss metals, but in short deflation can be just as good for the precious metals as inflation. If you want to study up on why, check out this great metals resource sight:
gold-eagle.com. They have many articles at this web site explaining the in's and out's of deflation and the metals.

In response to a previous post, I am not forecasting that APCC is "going" to hit 13 bucks a share. I have just decided that is the price where I feel it would be a good deal in my portfolio. I try not to be too emotional with my trading and I try to wait for "good deals" on companies I like. I don't like buying products or stocks that charge a premium, like APCC, INTC and MSFT etc... I have made a great deal of money over the years by creating a list of stocks that I like and watching and by looking at the historical prices deciding where I might buy such a stock. You would be surprised if you can get rid of that mentality that says I have to make a big hit this week or month, of how many great bargains there are in the market place. One good example is Oracle, has it bottomed yet or is there more damage to go?
I feel the key to this game is patience and of course timing. You can increase your odds of timing if you are have patience. Go against the grain, don't go with the herd mentality. Always invest in companies that you are an expert in, know the management, know the customers of the company and know the resellers and distributors like myself. I don't mean to sound like I have all the answers, as many of you know I may have made a good six figures with APCC stock over the past couple of years but I missed about 250k more of the profits by jumping out too early. However, you never lose money by making money and the old saying on Wall street goes, "pigs get slaughtered". My gut tells me that by the end of Feb this year that there just might be alot of bacon laying on the streets of WallStreet. I think that the 401k er's will be fine if they just sit pat, it is going to be interesting to watch the so idiots using massive amounts of margin get kicked in the teeth. One final thought, I feel most domestic companies, like my own, will do well over the next couple of years, anyone with exposure to Asia is going to be taken out back and executed by a firing squad, like APCC.
