You asked if I picked the stocks on my list based on fundamentals
or TA. Probably least on TA, although I expressly bought Ampex
on 30 Dec because of a volume spike, and Topro earlier in the
year because of constricting Bollinger bands and other TA signals.

However, the thing that draws me to stocks in the first place is
usually a theme. For example, the Y2K story is real and, as yet
IMHO, underfollowed, hence the heavy bet on Millenium stocks
and the CSCO short. The digital/internet explosion prompted buys
in AXC, CYBG, and General Magic. And I believe biotechnology
will grow some huge winners, thus the BTGC pick. In other words,
sector analysis leads me to the area. It's then a matter of picking
what I think will be the winners based on fundamentals, technical
analysis, trends, intuition, and who-knows-what-else.

Thanks for asking. What's your investment style? What do you see
as emerging trends as we approach the turn of the century?
