Usually Barron's effectiveness is greatest when they report a situation where there are irregularities in accounting or otherwise. Every such story they have done, to my knowledge, (CHTL, MLTN, SOLV, FIBR, etc.) has subsequently seen the stock decimated. (I am hoping that FIBR recovers - its my fantasy stock!) The only exception to my knowledge is Conseco. Stories with opinions about overvaluation do not seem to have much effect. In the last few months there was an interview of a trio of tech. fund managers(Wick, Morris & Force) in which YHOO was mentioned as an overvalued stock, without much effect.
In my mind, the 64 million dollar question is whether YHOO will have a slow bleed or a rapid descent.
