marcos, 1. Both commodities have current demand far in excess of current supply, while current demand trends are increasing far in excess of current supply trends. 2. Both have large stockpiles overhanging the market, CB stocks in the case of Au, and ex-military stocks in the case of U. 3. Both have markets that are tightly controlled, where politics plays perhaps a bigger part (for now) than the "unseen hand" of a free and efficient market (plenty of room for debate on this point, eh). 4. Both have market prices threatened in recent years by sales from central stockpiles, although large market-killing lots don't seem to be being dumped. The threat of such dumping seems to be enough to keep the price down. 5. The strong and efficient producers of both will do very well in the not-too-distant future, but one shouldn't hold one's breath, nor buy them on margin. Thank you for the intelligent post. You have obviously been doing your home work. Sounds like the uranium market has been cornered as well. My concern is the use of the technology. Though it is damn hard to look at my own actions and see what the hell I have created and allowed to be created, I am willing to expose myself as the fool I was for believing I was on the right path. And what a fool. I am Satan and I was in the Enola Gay when Fat Man was dropped on Nagasaki. Can you believe how right I thought I was to have done that. I am the embodiment of evil. The slaughter of those innocents, just to make my Chase Manhattan Bank a little stronger. Hey, I have nothing against the slaughter of innocents, as long as you are saving a universe or something. Did you get the funny feeling that those bunny people here earlier, and their 12-foot chicken friend, think they're normal? Hey, I needed a good laugh and there you go, live theatre. Hope we do not have to see something like Israel destroyed before people get the message that a full fledged slaughter is coming...should we not withdraw from the current obeyance of the Satan Worshippers.(You know the big bankers, the US government, the Christians all those guys who feign goodness but trap you into enslavement for their own needs.)
