Peter it's only a rumour... NEVER speculate on rumours'.

But, look at WMI {Westmin Res} When they where trading around $3.85 CDN a company came along and offered $5.45{over bidded}. Guess where the price is now. Pick any Gold company at this time. If in one year from now you suspect gold to be worth significantly more, than an all cash bid is worth it. And chances are in a gold depressed market you can get it.

Unless Kinross executives own a large precentage, than what can they do if a company get more than 10%?

Is not much of the rescent action on ABX caused by people fleeing FCX?
