There is nothing unusual about Trump. What he wants to do is make the Rich richer and transfer wealth to the Top 1%. This is what Reagan did and Trump wants to do the same thing on a grander scale through bigger tax cuts. And that policy is not better than the status quo.
A hard recession will result in year one of the Trump Presidency if he gets elected, followed by strong growth. I have seen this play out before under Reagan and many got devastated. If this is what my fellow Chump Americans want, so be it. I can easily position myself and profit from what's coming if he gets elected.

jack of lantern hearts-

i like your visionary perspective.
We Canucks are approaching the same singularity.

i rarely see that concept addressed when people talk about the near future.
the great majority of humans are still at least one epiphany short of a paradigm shift.

technological singularity will change the way things work on this planet. electricity and
information have no national borders... the atmosphere and the oceans have no national
borders... viruses and bacteria have no national borders... national borders for commerce
are all but gone...

national governments are becoming increasingly obsolete for two reasons
that come to my mind... i'm sure there are many more.

1) their IT infrastructure cannot even handle the "present" needs, much less the
needs for the future.
2) there is no formal body to govern or facilitate humanity's global needs and transactions.
the UN doesn't count for much in its present state of impotence.

this will change soon, regardless of what we do because of the exponential
speed of technological evolution.

we're all in this earth boat together and "this girrrrrrl is on fire."
isolation is no longer an option. let the cyber-terrorism begin.
