>>Does anyone know who the main GE main supplier would be for the
large companies, BAY, CISCO, etc.??<<

Hi,

That's a good question. My understanding, though completely unsubstantiated by independent information, is that the supplier is NSM.

I don't know how to approach substantiating that. To my best recollection, I have my information on this via Phil Barton, and again to my best recollection, this is his sense of the supplier to that market.

Help?

Steve,

That's what Im trying to find out. :-) I do believe CSCO is slow goings on their Granite (GE) stuff and their stuff won't be shipping in volume till the summer. Someone please correct me if I am off. I think BAY and MRVC will be larger volume GE people for the next 6 months than anyone else, but I may be off there too. I don't know who supplies the controllers/ASICS.
As for others, I think LU just acquired Prominet, Compaq May oem Extreme, SUN and NEC are oeming Alteon, I believe. Im not sure on 3Com and Asnd on if/who they may acquire.

And, I think I goofed my last message. I believe Prominet already has an OEM with DEC, not Foundry as I mentioned.

good luck
