Carolyn--

I meant to post the results of your screen from time to time when the results seem interesting to you. I don't have Quotes Plus. How do you like it? Am I correct that it only has 2 years of data?

Carolyn--

Some of your picks look very intriguing. They remind me to bring up a topic for general discussion:

We have been learning two methods to determine when a low is a bottom and can be a good time to jump in : MIMBO's and PGDE..s. There are two other general categories that are bullish according to Pring, in Market Momentum(1993, McGraw Hill):

Record volume coming off a major low is generally an extremely reliable signal that a very significant bottom has been seen. For instance, the 1982 US stock market low was accompanied by record volume, as was the 1987 bear market low in Treasury Bond futures. This by definition, is a very unuaual event. One confirming sign is awidespread disbelief in the rally by traders, investors, and the media. Record volume is a very reliable indicator and should never be overlooked. p265-266.

Carol, I wonder if a screen could be done on Quotes Plus for the following:

52 week low with 52 week high of volume.
26 week low with 26 week high of volume.
13 week low with 13 week high of volume.

It would be interesting to see if these type stocks could be bought within 2 or 3 days of the low instead of waiting for a MIMBO.
Doug, I'd be interested in your wisdom on this idea--have you worked on this kind of screen?
