HH, I read a very interesting post on another highflying sector last night. The poster made the point that he expected selling off in first week of 98 for early profit taking which couldn't be done in NOV-DEC for tax purposes. It is very likely(NOV sell off notwithstanding) that investors who bought early last year are taking some profits early this year. They are still way up.Perhaps they sold their techs for profit in 97 and had other losses so no need to dump drillers till now...who knows....watch SLB. It opened strongly down and can't maintain so look out. Dave
