That arguments only works for those who have a slightest idea about tax code and how business works in general (no one pays more than they have to). But the target audience for this nonsense are progressively brainwashed democrats who operate under assumptions that everyone is obligated to pay that mystical fair share annually. So they get really angry that Trump didn't pay taxes in some years because in their mind all the money belong to the government and since he didn't pay his fair share - he stole from people.
