Steve...evidently the short sellers weren't the only ones who had qualms about Rocky Mountain International, the stock referred to in a previois post. The SEC suspended trading in the stock "...because of questions regarding the accuracy of statements concerning, among other things, the ownership and value of certain assets claimed by Rocky Mountain, the company's business operations and the merger of Rocky Mountain with a third party." (DJ News 12-22-97) (The Suspension will run thrugh 1-6-98)

The point is, that although as you said sometimes some shorts are very unscrupulous and do in fact make statements that distort the truth, not all shorts are in that group and longs with vested interests have been known to be guilty of the same things. To use RMIL as ane example of evil on the part of short sellers misses by a mile. The fact is sometimes shorts are right. The 'be long or be wrong' PRst mantra seems to have gotten some longs on the brink of margin calls.

What is a fair valuation for PRST? Is it a P/E ratio equal to its growth rate. Is it a P/E ratio equal to 60% of its growth rate?

The P/E ratio is 65. With the stock price under $30, the P/E will remain in the 60s for the next 3 1/2 months.

What is a fair valuation????
