Playfair Mining (PLY-V) Oct 7, '16 has obtained the necessary government permissions and landowner agreements to drill its Cloonacool prospect in the Ox Mountains area of Sligo, Ireland. The drill has been mobilized with initial drilling planned to explore and extend the known outcropping gold mineralization.

The Cloonacool Prospect is one of two recently discovered gold prospects in Playfair's Ox Mountain Project. The other prospect, Cabragh is also located on the southern flanks of the Ox Mountains and is about 11 km to the northeast of Cloonacool. These are the first ever reported gold occurrences in the Ox Mountains.

Playfair's initial drill target is the area of a gold-bearing quartz vein intermittently outcropping over a strike length of 30 metres in a farmer's field. Playfair/Bowpark's previous exploration programs have revealed that crackle breccias and massive, white-coloured/cloudy saccharine quartz veins containing pyrite +/- galena collected in the area contain significant amounts of gold and silver. A coherent area of 1,500 metres by 500 metres containing several well mineralized boulders and an outcropping gold-bearing quartz vein has been defined. Eight angular blocks or boulders in this area range from 1.30 gpt gold to 17.2 gpt gold. Two lines of chip samples were completed over parallel outcropping quartz veins at Cloonacool. Results showed 3.38 gpt gold over 1.20 metres comprising 5.58 gpt gold over 50 cm, and 1.80 gpt gold over 70 cm. A later 50 cm (apparent width) chip sample across this vein taken by an independent geologist, Thomas Hawkins Ph. D, P. Geo returned values of 17.40 gpt gold and 8.2 gpt silver.

Playfair is looking forward to commencing the first ever drill program in the Ox Mountains.

Playfair Mining has entered into an Option Agreement to acquire up to a 100% interest in Bowpark Exploration (Ireland) Ltd. Bowpark is a private company registered in Ireland and holds as its sole asset 3 contiguous prospecting licenses over the Ox Mountains in County Sligo, Ireland.

Richard Parker and Andy Bowden are carrying out and overseeing these approved exploration programs on behalf of Playfair and Bowpark. Both are qualified persons as defined by National Instrument 43-101 and they have reviewed and approved the contents of this News Release. Thomas Hawkins Ph. D, P. Geo is a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 and he has approved the references to his sampling.
