Lol. Yes, it's kind of amusing that no editions have been published after 2000 ;). There's no question the authors were sucked up in the optimistic complacency of the times. Yet, I think there are nuggets of utility on investing in tech stocks. I try to follow the principle of learning from everyone, but trusting noone.

IPGP is definitely not Gorilla by GG definition. Maybe a King, but even that probably depends on what you consider its business area/competition.

OTOH, it's funny that GG crowd gave up on GG just as one of the big Gs was growing and just as Paul Senior invested in it: Google.

AMZN's AWS could become somewhat Gorillish.

AAPL is borderline G, though closer to big King possibly.
FB too.

Anyway, there was quite a few of GG candidates through 2000-2016 period and investing in them yielded great results I think - not that I did that. Apparently GG thread didn't either. ;)
