"Veni vidi morte"

en.wikipedia.org

Gaddaffi was killed by rebel militia.

The humor was the non-confirmation confirmation via a twist on a famous latin phrase, veni vidi vici. The reporter wanted to know why she came to see the country - if it had to do with the rumors of his death.

I'm sorry that you were so profoundly disturbed by the news of Gaddafi's death. You can join Castro and Chavez among others in your feelings.

You wingnuts seem rather desperate to depict any off camera moment as some sort of a "gotcha" confirming your deluded wingnut fantasies. This moment was an nothing more than an unofficial confirmation of a rumor, based upon the information she'd just received.

I'm sorry you were too stupid, or loved Gadaffi too much, to get it.

We were also pretty happy when Obama took out Bin Laden, something the Republican administration amazingly failed to do after Bin Laden killed thousands of Americans on Bush's watch.
