my friend roy in guatemala has a honduran esposa in guatemala who taught him a local slang word based on the spanish verb "figurar" (to figure) which means the same as the US slang phrase "go figure" -- the word is "figurate" FIG-OÓ-RAA-TAY. christiana figueres has been working with the UN trying to create a global body that addresses all of these global environment problems we face. she's been at it since before the Kyoto Protocol agreement many years ago and... today is the first time i have heard of her.
