Mike: Good post.
Barb: You make some good points, but, I hope you remember your first post referring to the "cow manuer" and realize that it was THAT grand entrance that earned you alot of abuse here. In my online experience I've found many short sellers to be extraordinarily rude and obnoxious. I realize it pays for them to be that way as it deters prospective investors. I've concluded that shareholders will just have to coexist with short sellers, online and otherwise.

As for the "rally" it can't be chocked up to simple y/e stuff as there were quite alot of shares traded at over $1 and even $1 1/2. There is still some life in this "pile".

All: Assuming the project goes forward using a non-Solv-Ex technology and Koch/UTS/Solv-ex produce 100,000 bpd what would Solv-ex' and UTS' 12 and 10% shares of the venture be worth? I've discussed some of the worst case scenarios (i.e. dilution, no mineral tech value, no oil tech value, etc...) with a couple of people and the picture was not very bleak.

As always I continue to believe there is real value to many of the patents Solv-Ex owns. Fortunately Koch has the resources and motivation to fully develop any technology that holds promise. Solv-Ex will obviously be first in line.

Happy New Year!
