I am freinds with dell thread.
it's only a few of the emotional dellites that I have trouble with.
I am a long term dell bull too and still buy more pcs than the entire thread put together...

Paul:
Steve is definitly a more more mature and likeable fellow having
done all that IT ans SI work and taken those spelling lessons.
I was impressed with the way he blew CS off the Dell thread with those 33 posts, and is now working on the big H.
He is ready now to become a Dell bull, as the tone of his posts
has changed since Dell has outperformed CPQ since the Oct tanking. In this new year he can unload some of that CPQ stock and
postphone the taxes until April 1999, thus freeing up some money for
Dell.
HELLO
IMO cpq and the techs and the market are ready to roll for several months, although I am a bit concerned with all the earnings
reports coming out this month which may cause some oscillations.
Later in the year I expect the market to do a good tanking (say about August) as people remember what happened last October
and will want to be out of it.(or prepared in some way), and then come
back to end the year higher.
There are certain problems that accrue to a company in the No.1
position as cpq is , but the advantage is that they can sell themselves and their product to the stores very easily. Margins
will be the problem(if any) so I stay mostly with Dell.
Last week looked like a cpq low so I bought some calls, then
found they were for 250 shs each not 100, and will soon be 500
shares each due to the split(or else double the no. of calls).
Seems like a good way to start the new year...
Are their many bears around here???.
