First, let me dig out my New Years Eve hat and horn and celebrate BB's contract signing with ABC. I enjoyed the little suspense left in the announcement. "..Our work is still unfinished." Anyway, I am very glad to hear of the good news. If you are listening BB jr., tell your father the village people are very happy to hear of his return (was he gone?)

Anyway, Alan, yes, the year is starting to prove to be a good one..and looks to continue that way in the market. You have prodded my interest in why all of us like to pick the "winner" stock. I admit, I do it myself. It makes stock investing fun! But, all the statistics and my personal testiment will tell you this strategy is playing with fire.

From my experience, the close personal involvement gets in the way of good judgement. I bought Intel at 77, with the expectation it would go to 100 soon. Instead it fell to 70, and now I am thinking maybe I should sell at 80 because I don't want to fall back into the red again. This is emotion, not logic. I know computers are taking over the world, and Intel is designing virtually all of the "engines" to drive these computers.

So I should just sit on my Intel stock and forget about it ..unless and until US market indicators start saying "bull market ahead". And of course Mr. BB has an excellent handle on those factors.

Mad money is FUN! If only my left and right brain could get locked together to make all the decisions. In the meantime, hope your RAIN stays friendly and doesn't ruin your parade.

Happy New Year

Greg
