It is well know that when you call agencies you get varying opinions as to what action you may take. What you actually do, is your very own responsiblility. NASD cannot absolve you of civil or criminal liabilities for following their direction. I would ask them to provide you with a written letter detailing the information. I would feel a little more secure that way. Did you record your conversation? That would have helped. Try calling back and asking for the advice in writing. It may be to your benefit in the future. Just a suggestion.
