All done with leaks - nothing definitive, but there is this as to why:

Is the DNC leak Putin’s payback for State Department’s involvement in Russia’s elections?

She meddled in the Israeli, Ukrainian and even Russian elections - so there could be other actors here as well.

Not the FBI in this particular case.

Now if you were able to break away from Russian propaganda sites for a little while, you would notice the consensus of Western intelligence agencies. No doubt, RT would claim that they are colluding against Mother Russia. But they also claim that the Vatican has proof that space aliens are reluctant to come out public because of our aggressive tendencies...
