I consider WebCompass a sort of helpware....I don't think they will put it out to pasture. A strong webcompass 3.0 can be a big seller as tens of thousands of happy WebCompass 2.0 users got it for free in the public beta. If they buy an upgrade, it could be hot. I predicted the divestiture of StarNine and IWare in 1998. FutureLabs has done NOTHING for Quarterdeck, maybe they are working on something helpful? A long shot. Anyway 1 15/16 up 19% today. Not a bad start to the new year. Another thought, would Hessler, Greico, et al., buy shares and then announce bad earnings for the first quarter? I don't think so. It is possible but that would take hutzpah. I stand at 3 1/8 going into Feb.
